A baby anaconda, captured at the end of Anaconda 3: Offspring, is being used for experiments by a scientists. He creates a hybrid of the blood orchids from Borneo that enabled the anacondas to grow so large and live so long, and creates a serum for cell regeneration. When he disappears and the snake escapes, Murdoch sends a team to find him. Dr. Amanda Haze also goes in search of him, determined to destroy the serum and kill the snakes. The two groups encounter more people who get dragged into the search for the snake, which has been split in two by someone attempting to kill it. Due to the serum, the anacondas can no longer die without significant damage to their internal organs.

After a car accident on a bridge, the psychiatrist Sam Foster assumes the case of the survivor Henry Letham, who apparently torched and car and promises to commit suicide three days later. Sam decides to investigate deeper what happened with Henry, and feels that he is becoming detached from reality with his findings about the case. He asks his girlfriend Lila Culpepper to help himself to stay lucid, while trying to solve the intriguing situation of Henry.

A dedicated New York psychiatrist Sam Foster urgently attempts to stop a secretive and unusual young patient he inherited, Henry Lethem, from carrying out a planned suicide on the eve of his 21st birthday. But Sam's investigation of Henry has reality-shattering effects on the psychiatrist. WE WERE SOLDIERS is a detailed recreation of this true story: of the strategies, obstacles, and human cost faced by the troops that participated. The story focuses on the lieutenant colonel that led the attack, Hal Moore (Mel Gibson), and a civilian reporter who accompanied them, Joseph Galloway (Barry Pepper), as well as a number of other soldiers who were involved. This is an unusual Vietnam film in that it also shows the North Vietnamese perspective on the battle; their leader Lieutenant General Nguyen Huu An (Don Duong) is depicted as a brave soldier and smart commander. And in addition to the many gory battlefield sequences--which seem to have been influenced by SAVING PRIVATE RYAN--we also see how the carnage of war affects those left behind, the soldiers' wives and children.
